Transfer-Reactions
The
acids
(i.e. H-Cl) are the proton donors:
They
give their hydrogen atom without electron (H+, "proton") to
a partner.
The
bases
(i.e. NH3) are the proton acceptors
acting as partner of the acid by taking the hydrogen atom without electron
(H+, "proton").
