Suspension  is a turbid mixture of a liquid and a solid substance.
Sedimentation  is the the separation of a solid from a suspension by leaving it for the solid to be deposited. A clear liquid and a sediment will be the result of this separation of a mixture.
Pouring off  is the separation of liquid from a sediment.
