Microscale chemistry experiments
(MCE) with disposable materials like syringes, injection bottles,
dropper bottles, plastic pipettes were first introduced by El
Marsafy 1988. He used these worldwide available materials for pre-service
teacher training at Ain Shams University Cairo. MicrEcol
uses the same materials and quantities of matter but it is adjusted to
children and younger students. For home experimentation of
students a written approval of the parents is necessary. So they are responsible
for proper supervision. Most of the substances needed are chemicals of
the daily life. Even for the microscale experiments prescribed in this
homepage all safety precautions must be
observed. No experimentation without goggles! Students
and other interested readers are welcome to visit the site to learn more
about chemistry. Individuals performing the experiments described herein
accept full responsibility for all that results directly or indirectly
