Experiment air3:
Molar volume of air at different temperatures

In the previous experiment you have seen that the air volume depends on pressure.
Now you will see how it is influenced by the temperature.
* Lock 2,4 ml of air in a syringe by heating it nozzles and closing it by welding. (left photo).
* Place it a refrigerator to cool it to 0°Ct.
* Right photo:  The air expands during heating

"Equal volumes of different gases at the same temperature and pressure contain the same number of particles" (Avogadro´s law).
The molar volume is also valid for air: 2,4 ml of air in the syringe = 1/10.000 mol = 6x1019 air  particles.
