How
sodium and chlorine particles form a cube
In this presentation small blue
beads (+) and big transparent beads (-) are used as models for the invisible
small positive sodium particles and negative chloride particles.
The beads are held by metal
rods fixed in a plate.
Left: 1 positive
sodium and 1 negative chloride particles have attracted each other.
Middle: 2 more particles
have joined.
Right:
In this model 3 particles of sodium and 3 of chloride are bound to each
other.
